1. multi threaded download (split download to more then part) – highly asked and there are many of free/opensource download managers support it like “Free Download Manager” , “DownThemAll” firefox plugin and “wxDownload Fast” .

2. control of download speed .

3. shutdown computer after download finished .

4. scheduling .

5. checksum of downloaded files (md5 and sha1) .

6. small icon beside download show if link support continue (support pause and resume)

7. more information when indicate with mouse on system tray icon .

2. Remember site preferences
The ability to store site preferences
such us login credentials, max connections per file, max connections
globally for the site, max files and proxy type/credentials.

3. A feature allready present in FDM with this name – UGet would not show a
confirmation dialog on new download, and would start downloading
automatically without interfering the user. Only a notification would be
shown about new download starting,
